Long Answer: It is hard enough to make one good app on iOS. We could make a cross platform app but then the amount of testing, validation, and headache doubles. So, instead of making two half baked pies, we're making one great one.

The get ready goes as fast as their internet does. In perfect settings, it can load in about 5 seconds or so. The longest it has loaded for us (with poor internet/a couple bars of LTE) is about 30 seconds. Either way, once you trigger the fake notes app and tap once to open, you do not have to do anything to the phone but wait until it connects, and it will look just like the spectators standard notes app.

To clean up, there are several methods (we discuss these in the settings). The main method is a force quit, that takes seconds and the cleanup happens in 30 days (an Apple rule we cannot change). If you need to remove everything, this process takes about 5-10 seconds.

Yes! Notarized will mimic the Notes settings on your spectators phone. The only thing you have to set is the "Notes" button text and "Done" button text, as these vary from language to language, and we are working to provide localization for all languages iOS supports (so this is done automatically).

The fake notes app does not connect to or contact their real notes app. So, what we suggest is asking your spectator to open a new "blank" note. The spectator can either clear the note or delete/undo what was there, and then force quit the fake notes app (which then leaves them with the same blank note to begin with), or there is a way to launch their real notes and paste the text into an actual note. The drawing cannot currently be copied over.

There is a built in programmer in the Notarized app. This is shown when you watch the QuickStart video and/or read the QuickStart instructions.

No, it is nearly impossible to recreate the real notes app exactly (and, if apple changes something, it has to potentially be redone). So, we recreated the most important parts, which is the main/typing part of the note, and the drawing section. The other brushes do not work, as well as the color picker. We hope to add the ability to draw in multiple colors into a update in the not too distant future.
